Ponerse en forma con el Inglés
To be 'fit with English' is everyone's desire, in the same way as it is to be fit physically. Our brain is a physical organ, but just like a muscle has to be trained to be strong, to increase brain power. I do not know anyone, who by his or her own intention do not want to be fit or at least, to feel fit. It is work and heavy effort sometimes, but also well known: no pain, no gain.
As being fit (speaking of it in general) makes us feel more confident, clear-minded, happier... Did you know that learning something new releases endorphins responsible for good feeling? That trying to learn a new, even just one English word a day- could be a recipe for boosting overall mood and even a healthier life? Is not the same with doing some regular exercises? As physical and intellectual exercises are both called exercises for a reason. And its benefits can be almost identical.
In my another post I was speaking about New Year's resolutions and the similarities between learning English and going to the gym. Here you have some more...
Begin of the year is a period of post Xmas and pre Summer diets, promises to go to the gym as some extra kilograms that we gained are better to lose. Not being able to speak and understand English, or seeing that your children may struggle with it, is also an extra weight, that would make you feel a way better by 'losing'. But to 'shake this weight off' you have to be prepared for some sacrifices, especially at the Beginning.
However, exercising is only 50% of success. You have to know that the entire environment has to be changed, turning bad habits into good one, setting a new routine and being strict with it. Also trying to get to know more people with the same goals have huge importance to make them achieved. To support each other and not letting excuses to get over.
There are three groups of people. First one, and you do not want to be in that one, speaking a lot, but doing nothing. The second one, obsessed with exercising, training every single muscle unstoppable, pushing themself forward, making it as the way of their lives. But... Too good to be true with English. Let's be realistic, the third group is the highest percentage. They try as they know it is good for them, that they really should do it, but not honestly enjoying. An obligation. They have to think twice before starting, forcing themself and not taking any pleasure from it yet, but it has to be done. Perhaps they just need a little extra push or kick to keep driven ... Here I am!
Think of me as your English instructor. A positive influencer to get you in better shape, or to keep you in a good condition with English. Of course, I will not grow your muscles. YOU have to do it. I just can show you what 'machine' you can use, to make stronger particular 'skills parts'. I can demonstrate to you how to do it correctly, how to choose specific exercises to make the process more enjoyable. To motivate you and get you closer to see the results. To help you focus on your weaknesses, turning them into your strength. It depends on you if you cross the door of 'English Gym' and it depends on you, how often you want to practise. Are you ready?
As soon as you start to see results is necessary to make them long-lasting. To avoid the 'yo-yo' effect of forgetting what was learned. And on worse days, which we all have as we are humans, to not give up. Do not be afraid of failure, tomorrow is a new day to start again.
We know that doing exercises is good for you, your health, body and mind.
We know that learning English is good for you, your children´s future and career.
Let's try to get by the end of this year satisfied, with much more confidence and stronger skills of your family to be proud of.
